I’m Dave, a strength and conditioning specialist, and the owner of Always Active Fitness 312.

Always Active Fitness 312 focuses on 6 key components, or as I call them, pillars.  They include nutrition, exercise, hydration, sleep, stress control and consistency.   I enjoy working with my clients on making healthy choices to improve their overall health and wellness. Perfection is not seen as the goal, but instead pursuing a lifetime of small changes to help your body achieve the best possible health and quality of life.

A combination of practical experience combined with an education in Health and Human Performance and over 15 years of coaching, I developed a system to determine an individual’s goals and construct a customizable program to attain their goals.  Beginning with a movement assessment, we build a foundation, and the journey begins to a healthier, better quality of life.

FMS (Functional Movement Screen) Included with every initial consultation.

If you do the math, I’ll bet you’re lying or sitting for 18-20 hours a day, whether in the car, at your table or desk or in bed, we spend too much time stationary.  The FMS breaks down basic movement patterns to discover imbalances in strength, balance, flexibility, or mobility that may be due to an injury or cause an injury.  Then we perform corrective exercises to build symmetry and strength as we progress through a holistic journey to improve mental and physical health.

I first met Dave at the Seattle Pro Sports Club where my husband and I were members for many years. I signed up for a holiday 10K run and Dave was one of the coaches helping us train for the event. He was positive, encouraging and professional. When I later enrolled in a weight-loss/wellness program at the gym, I asked Dave to be my personal trainer. We worked out three days a week for ten weeks and it was hard! My focus was on losing weight and gaining muscle – which I did to the tune of losing 20 pounds of fat and gaining three pounds of muscle.
